Live the experience of the grape harvest
The grape harvest is one of the most fascinating experiences to enjoy in the Castelli Romani during the period from the end of August to the beginning of October. If you visit Lazio at this time of year, we offer you the chance to witness the harvest and take part in the grape pressing. After the work comes a moment to relax with a mini course in sensory analysis led by the winery’s oenologist.
The day concludes with a delicious lunch or dinner in the farmhouse, where you will taste the wines and olive oil of Cantina Costantini, paired with the finest local gastronomic products.
A DAY AS A WINEMAKER 2025
HARVEST, CRUSHING AND TASTING
From August 31 to October 8
Program:
- Meeting in the vineyard, welcome breakfast or aperitif
Introduction to the winery and the territory by the Costantini family. - Tour among the vineyards by train
After breakfast, enjoy a pleasant panoramic tour aboard our vineyard train. You will ride through the estate’s vineyards in the middle of the harvest, admiring the vines heavy with grapes and taking in the picturesque views of the Castelli Romani hills.
- Technical visit to the winery and demonstration
At the end of the ride, the group will reach the grape reception area, where a cellar expert will explain, in a simple and engaging way, the first stages of winemaking. - Traditional grape stomping
As an optional addition, participants can experience the traditional grape stomping in wooden vats, rediscovering an ancient gesture that once marked the start of rural winemaking.
Tasting of freshly pressed grape must. - Introduction to wine tasting
A sensory analysis lesson with a guided tasting led by our sommelier.
(Possibility of a fun wine-tasting quiz with prizes). - Lunch or dinner with wine pairing
First course:
Ravioli filled with cacio e pepe, sautéed with Amatrician guanciale.
Second course:
Roast suckling pig with cooked must and oven-baked potatoes.
Side dish:
Oven-baked potatoes.
Dessert:
Homemade desserts.
Wine pairing:
Each course will be paired with a selected wine from our winery, presented and described by the sommelier.
Possibility to purchase wines directly at the winery.
